01 / The brief

What they needed.

NoData governs how information leaves an organisation: policy decides what is released, and every allow or deny gets a signed receipt. They needed a film that shows a transaction, not a screen, with their capsule as the hero and only their real receipt format on screen. It grew from a 30 second piece into a 90 second film with their narration word for word.

04 / The shots

8 frames. One world.

05 / How it was made

From the first line to the last frame.

  1. 01Plan and framesA plan page, then key frames for the client to approve before any animation. Five frames were signed off first.
  2. 02The 30 second filmA first film with text, logo and receipt fields added in post, and fixes to single shots.
  3. 03The 90 second briefThe client sent an eight-scene brief with every narration word fixed. We mapped it into a scene plan page and they approved it.
  4. 04Photoreal remakeTwo more rounds of frames moved the look to live-action science fiction: real rooms, guards, an operator and a locked robot design.
  5. 05The shootThe approved timeline was shot as one production: 11 shots, about 94 seconds, one narrator voice throughout.
  6. 06PostTitles, the client's own messages, English subtitles, a score, one real receipt as proof, and single-word voice fixes.
06 / The screenplay

It started on the page.

Information moves between people, systems, and AI every second.

Defining rules matters. Monitoring matters.

But detecting a problem after information has been exposed is not the same as preventing an unauthorized release.

A KEY IS NOT PERMISSION.

SAME CAPSULE. DIFFERENT DISCLOSURE.

DON'T JUST DEFINE ACCESS. ENFORCE IT. PROVE IT.

07 / The choices

Every shot was a fork.

How should it look?

Chosen

Realistic live-action science fiction

Instead of

The stylised 3D look of the first rounds

WhyThe client's own production brief asked for photoreal, and the founder found the first robot not realistic enough.

How to show allow and deny?

Chosen

One capsule at two moments, the same hand, 09:00 allowed and 21:00 denied

Instead of

A split screen of two capsules

WhyIt was the client's first choice of the options offered.

What goes on the proof card?

Chosen

One real exported receipt

Instead of

Placeholder ALLOW and DENY cards

WhyThe client asked that receipts come only from their real format and that no fields be invented.

08 / The look
